Diamond Optics · effective 2026
Offline utility · no accounts · no ads
Diamond Optics is built as a local cut-geometry and light-performance workbench. The app does not collect personal data. Proportion drafts, gauge results, and glossary progress stay on your device.
What stays on device
Certificate-style measurements you enter, named drafts saved with SwiftData, comparison sessions, and PDF proportion sheets you generate are stored only locally. Facet diagrams and brilliance / fire / scintillation scores are computed on device—nothing is sent to Diamond Optics servers for analysis.
What we do not do
- No third-party analytics SDKs
- No advertising networks or tracking pixels
- No user accounts, sign-in, or cloud sync
- No sale or sharing of personal information
Sharing you initiate
When you export a PDF proportion sheet or share a draft via the system share sheet, iOS handles the destination you choose (Mail, Files, AirDrop, and similar). Diamond Optics does not upload those files to its own services.
Home Screen widgets
Optional widgets (mini gauges or ideal-range tips) read data already stored on device. They do not phone home.
